Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 5,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Admittedly, works by Arnold Marc Gorter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer; Winter in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).

Die Arbeit An Autumn Landscape von Arnold Marc Gorter wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 5.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 5.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer; Winter im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18).
