Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arnold Marc Gorter could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th CenturyEuropean Art auction, the work Along the Vordense Beek changed hands for EUR 6,875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arnold Marc Gorter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer; Winter in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arnold Marc Gorter konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art wechselte die Arbeit Along the Vordense Beek für EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer; Winter im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18).
