Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work An estuary landscape with a peasant couple catching duck with decoys, harvesters by the shore and shipping on the water beyond by Arent Arentsz for GBP 49,350.00 (€ 79,847.01). This price was achieved in the auction The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arent Arentsz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A river landscape with two fishermen pulling in their nets, with bathers beyond, which sold at auction in December 2000 for GBP 179,750.00 (€ 286,340.14).

Im April 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An estuary landscape with a peasant couple catching duck with decoys, harvesters by the shore and shipping on the water beyond von Arent Arentsz für GBP 49.350,00 (€ 79.847,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00.
