Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and British Paintings, which included the work A River Landscape With Women Exchanging Money In The Foreground by Arent Arentsz. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,385.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arent Arentsz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A river landscape with two fishermen pulling in their nets, with bathers beyond in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 179,750.00 (€ 286,340.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Landscape With Women Exchanging Money In The Foreground von Arent Arentsz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.385,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arent Arentsz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A river landscape with two fishermen pulling in their nets, with bathers beyond im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 179.750,00 (€ 286.340,14).
