In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections, which included this untitled work by Ardeshir Mohasses. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,395.15), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ardeshir Mohasses achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ardeshir Mohasses zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.395,15) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ardeshir Mohasses erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.257,89).
