In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections, which included the work Haji Mirza Aqasi by Ardeshir Mohasses. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,688.49), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ardeshir Mohasses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Haji Mirza Aqasi von Ardeshir Mohasses zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.688,49) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ardeshir Mohasses auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.257,89).
