In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Plaka by Apostolos Tsirogiannis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,207.78), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Apostolos Tsirogiannis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Athens, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81).

Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Plaka von Apostolos Tsirogiannis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.207,78) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Apostolos Tsirogiannis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Athens beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81) versteigert wurde.
