Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French a Moment Of Repose by Antony Troncet was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,118.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Troncet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Au Bord Du Lac in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 54,470.06).

Die Arbeit French a Moment Of Repose von Antony Troncet kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.118,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Troncet erzielen.
