Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British Art, which included the work Mulsanne Straight 93 x 93 cm. (36 5/8 x 36 5/8 in.) (unframed) by Antony Donaldson. The price achieved of GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antony Donaldson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Record in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 137,000.00 (€ 156,017.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mulsanne Straight 93 x 93 cm. (36 5/8 x 36 5/8 in.) (unframed) von Antony Donaldson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antony Donaldson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Record im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 156.017,44).
