Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2008 Christies in Milan held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Storia di Giobbe by Antonio Zanchi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 24,700.00 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Zanchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegory of Time, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 73,250.00 (€ 93,064.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Storia di Giobbe von Antonio Zanchi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 24.700,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Zanchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Allegory of Time beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 73.250,00 (€ 93.064,95) versteigert wurde.
