Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Capri with a fortified village overlooking the Bay of Naples by Antonio Senape was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2000. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,684.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Senape achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm. (9 15/16 x 14 15/16 in.) and smaller, with ten panoramas of 26 x 52.5 cm (10 1/4 x 20 5/8 in.) and two loose mounted drawings, sheets 3 and 4 of a panorama of in July last year with an auction result of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,83
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View of Capri with a fortified village overlooking the Bay of Naples von Antonio Senape kam im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm. (9 15/16 x 14 15/16 in.) and smaller, with ten panoramas of 26 x 52.5 cm (10 1/4 x 20 5/8 in.) and two loose mounted drawings, sheets 3 and 4 of a panorama of im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.838,65).
