Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Four views of Naples and Sicily: View of Selinunte; Naples from the Campo; The monastery of San Martino near Palermo; and Naples from the Carmine by Antonio Senape was sold in the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 973.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Senape achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm. (9 15/16 x 14 15/16 in.) and smaller, with ten panoramas of 26 x 52.5 cm (10 1/4 x 20 5/8 in.) and two loose mounted drawings, sheets 3 and 4 of a panorama of in July last year with an auction result of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,83
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Four views of Naples and Sicily: View of Selinunte; Naples from the Campo; The monastery of San Martino near Palermo; and Naples from the Carmine von Antonio Senape wurde im Dezember 2011 in der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm. (9 15/16 x 14 15/16 in.) and smaller, with ten panoramas of 26 x 52.5 cm (10 1/4 x 20 5/8 in.) and two loose mounted drawings, sheets 3 and 4 of a panorama of im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.838,65).
