Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER DRAWINGS - CSK, which included the work A panoramic view of the Bay of Naples from the sea by Antonio Senape. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,866.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Senape have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm. (9 15/16 x 14 15/16 in.) and smaller, with ten panoramas of 26 x 52.5 cm (10 1/4 x 20 5/8 in.) and two loose mounted drawings, sheets 3 and 4 of a panorama of in July last year with an auction result of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,838
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS - CSK durch, in der auch die Arbeit A panoramic view of the Bay of Naples from the sea von Antonio Senape zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.866,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Senape auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An album in marbled boards of 63 drawings of Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey 25.2 x 38 cm.
