Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Multitud, 1982 by Antonio Saura. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 448.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Saura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crucifixion noire et rouge in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 535,200.00 (€ 793,414.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Multitud, 1982 von Antonio Saura zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 448,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Saura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crucifixion noire et rouge im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 535.200,00 (€ 793.414,78).
