Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in Madrid held the auction ARTE ESPANOL, which included the work Academia by Antonio López García. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 344,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Antonio López García have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2005 the work Mujer durmiendo (El Sueño) was auctioned for EUR 684,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in Madrid die Auktion ARTE ESPANOL durch, in der auch die Arbeit Academia von Antonio López García zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 344.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Antonio López García konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2005 die Arbeit Mujer durmiendo (El Sueño) für EUR 684.000,00 versteigert.
