Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La circense by Antonio Donghi was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of ITL 6,000,000.00 – 9,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of ITL 6,737,500.00 (€ 6,374.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Donghi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ragazzi Alla Finestra in April 2018 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La circense von Antonio Donghi kam im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von ITL 6.000.000,00 – 9.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von ITL 6.737.500,00 (€ 6.374,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Donghi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ragazzi Alla Finestra im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
