In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Carved Sticks: Cluster by Antonio Carluccio. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,514.94), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Carluccio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Carved Sticks: The Neal Street Installation, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,921.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carved Sticks: Cluster von Antonio Carluccio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.514,94) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Carluccio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Carved Sticks: The Neal Street Installation beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.921,01) versteigert wurde.
