In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work Mother And Child by Antonio Blanco. The result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 65,738.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Blanco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Balinese Woman With Child in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 312,594.54).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother And Child von Antonio Blanco zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 65.738,07) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Blanco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Balinese Woman With Child im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.140.000,00 (€ 312.594,54).
