A top price for Antonio Blanco
When the work Balinese Woman With Child by Antonio Blanco was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 800,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 312,594.54). This high result makes Balinese Woman With Child the most expensive artwork by Antonio Blanco that we have observed at auctions so far.
