Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and, which included the work Gloria Victis by Antonin Mercié. The price achieved of USD 33,460.00 (€ 16,941.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonin Mercié have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French gloria Victis in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 84,519.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gloria Victis von Antonin Mercié zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 16.941,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonin Mercié auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French gloria Victis im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 84.519,57).
