A top price for Antonin Artaud - as previously expected
The work Autoportrait by Antonin Artaud was sold in the Paris Avant-garde auction at Christies in Paris in October 2021. The price achieved of EUR 620,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Autoportrait is the most expensive artwork by Antonin Artaud that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Autoportrait von Antonin Artaud wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Paris Avant-garde bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 620.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Autoportrait das teuerste Kunstwerk von Antonin Artaud, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
