Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antonietta Brandeis could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work Figures by the Molo with the Libreria, the Punta della Dogana and Santa Maria della Salute beyond; and a Gondola near Santa Maria della Salute changed hands for GBP 11,970.00 (€ 14,294.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonietta Brandeis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice: A View of the Piazza San Marco in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 441,000.00 (€ 363,411.62).
