Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work The timber sale by Anton Mauve. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Mauve achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A tranquil pasture in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 128,722.00 (€ 61,782.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The timber sale von Anton Mauve zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anton Mauve erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A tranquil pasture im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 128.722,00 (€ 61.782,31).
