This artwork by Anton Mauve achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. In the The former Kamerbeek Collection auction, the work Guiding the flock to the heath, Laren sold for EUR 21,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Mauve - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A tranquil pasture, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 128,722.00 (€ 61,782.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Anton Mauve erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection wurde die Arbeit Guiding the flock to the heath, Laren für EUR 21.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Mauve mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A tranquil pasture beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 128.722,00 (€ 61.782,31) versteigert wurde.
