Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sprokkelaars: a wood faggot in the snow by Anton Mauve was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. It achieved a price of EUR 3,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Mauve achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A tranquil pasture in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 128,722.00 (€ 61,782.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sprokkelaars: a wood faggot in the snow von Anton Mauve kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anton Mauve erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A tranquil pasture im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 128.722,00 (€ 61.782,31).
