Sold at the lower estimate price
The work The Virgin and Charity by Anton Kern was sold in the Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,342.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Kern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bacchus and Ariadne in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 60,798.70).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The Virgin and Charity von Anton Kern wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School bei Christies in London versteigert.
