Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work An Old Bearded Man Kneeling And A Young Man Standing, A Dog In The Foreground, After Giovanni Battista Pittoni by Anton Kern. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Kern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bacchus and Ariadne in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 60,798.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Old Bearded Man Kneeling And A Young Man Standing, A Dog In The Foreground, After Giovanni Battista Pittoni von Anton Kern zur Versteigerung kam.
