Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anton Ebert could be acquired at Christies in London in February 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A lady holding a tambourine; and A Spanish girl holding a fan changed hands for GBP 184.00 (€ 301.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Ebert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech Spring In The Woods in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,000.00 (€ 19,765.74).
