Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Young Boy, Possibly Henri Delacroix, And His Spaniel by Antoine Vestier for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,037.04). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antoine Vestier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autoportrait De L'Artiste, which sold at auction in March 2016 for EUR 119,600.00.
