Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antoine Poncet could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living with Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,776.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Poncet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fugue-Fougue in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antoine Poncet konnte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living with Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.776,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Poncet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fugue-Fougue im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
