Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Allegory Of Love: A Kneeling Youth With Cupid And Amorini by Antoine Pierre Mongin. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,400.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antoine Pierre Mongin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bather in a landscape in January this year with an auction result of USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,850.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegory Of Love: A Kneeling Youth With Cupid And Amorini von Antoine Pierre Mongin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.400,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoine Pierre Mongin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A bather in a landscape im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 27.850,43).
