The work Design for a decorative panel with a Triumph of Diana by Antoine Caron was sold in the OLD MASTER DRAWINGS auction at Christies in New York in January 2001. The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,400.00 (€ 60,593.04), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Caron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory of the Triumph of Summer in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 903,500.00 (€ 767,890.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Design for a decorative panel with a Triumph of Diana von Antoine Caron wurde im Januar 2001 in der Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS bei Christies in New York versteigert.
