Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue Royale by Antoine Blanchard was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,450.00 (€ 3,779.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Antoine Blanchard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Place de la Madelaine; and Une marché aux fleurs in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 32,082.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rue Royale von Antoine Blanchard wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.450,00 (€ 3.779,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoine Blanchard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Place de la Madelaine; and Une marché aux fleurs im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.325,00 (€ 32.082,24).
