Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Anthony Fry was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,421.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Fry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow Palace With Cow And Lovers In Hall in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,550.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Anthony Fry wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.421,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Fry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow Palace With Cow And Lovers In Hall im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.550,94).
