Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Landscape No. 3 by Anthony Fry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,759.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Fry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow Palace With Cow And Lovers In Hall in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,550.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape No. 3 von Anthony Fry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.759,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Fry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow Palace With Cow And Lovers In Hall im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.550,94).
