Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Barcelona Cradle - 1987 by Anthony Caro was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June last year. It achieved a price of EUR 36,736.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Caro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flats in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 588,500.00 (€ 556,343.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Barcelona Cradle - 1987 von Anthony Caro kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 36.736,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Caro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flats im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 588.500,00 (€ 556.343,35).
