In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Sale, which included the work A Bridge Across A Small Canal, With Moored Boats by Anthonie van Borssum. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,450.00 (€ 41,332.58), 62% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anthonie van Borssum; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Moonlit River Landscape With Fishermen Near A Windmill sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of GBP 55,000.00 (€ 60,386.34).

Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bridge Across A Small Canal, With Moored Boats von Anthonie van Borssum zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 41.332,58) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anthonie van Borssum; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Moonlit River Landscape With Fishermen Near A Windmill im Juli 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 55.000,00 (€ 60.386,34).
