Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Four Ducks By A Nest by Anthonie van Borssum. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,996.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie van Borssum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Moonlit River Landscape With Fishermen Near A Windmill, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 55,000.00 (€ 60,386.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Ducks By A Nest von Anthonie van Borssum zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.996,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthonie van Borssum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Moonlit River Landscape With Fishermen Near A Windmill beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 55.000,00 (€ 60.386,34) versteigert wurde.
