Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work The nightclub by Anthonie Pieter Schotel. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,875.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Pieter Schotel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 18,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The nightclub von Anthonie Pieter Schotel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthonie Pieter Schotel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für EUR 18.250,00 versteigert wurde.
