This artwork by Annie Morris achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Stack 8, Copper Blue sold for HKD 1,905,000.00 (€ 223,056.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Annie Morris; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Stack 9 Ultramarine Blue, 2018 sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of GBP 201,600.00 (€ 240,400.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Annie Morris erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Stack 8, Copper Blue für HKD 1.905.000,00 (€ 223.056,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Annie Morris; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Stack 9 Ultramarine Blue, 2018 im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 201.600,00 (€ 240.400,87).
