Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Duane and Gregg Allman, Ventura, California by Annie Leibovitz was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,328.00 (€ 3,008.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annie Leibovitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Keith Haring, New York City in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 81,942.14).
