Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi (Blues Brothers), Hollywood, California, 1979 by Annie Leibovitz was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,316.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Annie Leibovitz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Keith Haring, New York City in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 81,942.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi (Blues Brothers), Hollywood, California, 1979 von Annie Leibovitz kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.316,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Annie Leibovitz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Keith Haring, New York City im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 81.942,14).
