Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II, which included the work Still Life Of Flowers In A Vase With A Shell by Anne Vallayer-Coster. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,625.00 (€ 35,983.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Vallayer-Coster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature morte au vase d’albâtre rempli de fleurs avec sur une table plusieurs espèces de fruits, comme ananas, pêches et raisins in June this year with an auction result of EUR 2,581,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Vase With A Shell von Anne Vallayer-Coster zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 35.983,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Vallayer-Coster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature morte au vase d’albâtre rempli de fleurs avec sur une table plusieurs espèces de fruits, comme ananas, pêches et raisins im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.581.000,00.
