Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work A Bust Of Minerva, Armour, Muskets, A Drum, A Standard, The Baton Of Command Of A Maréchal De France, A Laurel Wreath And The Orders Of Saint-Louis And Of The Saint-Esprit, All On A Stone Ledge by Anne Vallayer-Coster. It changed hands for a price of USD 187,500.00 (€ 153,550.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Vallayer-Coster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature morte au vase d’albâtre rempli de fleurs avec sur une table plusieurs espèces de fruits, comme ananas, pêches et raisins in June this year with an auction result of EUR 2,581,000.00.

Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bust Of Minerva, Armour, Muskets, A Drum, A Standard, The Baton Of Command Of A Maréchal De France, A Laurel Wreath And The Orders Of Saint-Louis And Of The Saint-Esprit, All On A Stone Ledge von Anne Vallayer-Coster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 153.550,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Vallayer-Coster erzielen.
