Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vase and basket by Anne Tholstrup was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in February this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Tholstrup - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1991, which sold at auction in February this year for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 537.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vase and basket von Anne Tholstrup im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,47) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Tholstrup mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1991 beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 537,26) versteigert wurde.
