Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gay Tents: La Baule, Brittany by Anne Estelle Rice was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,034.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Anne Estelle Rice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Regatta Day in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 141,271.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gay Tents: La Baule, Brittany von Anne Estelle Rice wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.034,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Estelle Rice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Regatta Day im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 141.271,30).
