Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats in the harbour, Brittany by Anne Estelle Rice was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,396.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Estelle Rice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regatta Day in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 141,271.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats in the harbour, Brittany von Anne Estelle Rice wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.396,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Estelle Rice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Regatta Day im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 141.271,30).
