Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Anna Boghiguian was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,624.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Boghiguian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work El-Imam El Shafie, Cairo in November this year with an auction result of GBP 57,550.00 (€ 66,687.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anna Boghiguian im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.624,67) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Boghiguian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit El-Imam El Shafie, Cairo im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.550,00 (€ 66.687,94).
