Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections, which included the work Black and White City by Anna Boghiguian. The price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,239.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Boghiguian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work El-Imam El Shafie, Cairo in November this year with an auction result of GBP 57,550.00 (€ 66,687.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black and White City von Anna Boghiguian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.239,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Boghiguian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit El-Imam El Shafie, Cairo im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.550,00 (€ 66.687,94).
