A top price for Anjum Singh - as previously expected
The work Zebra Crossing by Anjum Singh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Zebra Crossing is the most expensive artwork by Anjum Singh that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Zebra Crossing von Anjum Singh kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.900,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Zebra Crossing das teuerste Kunstwerk von Anjum Singh, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
